We use our materials for a range of applications, with a primary emphasis on controlling light and heat in everyday environments.

We study the potential impact of optical materials on cities and buildings, with energy efficiency, sustainability and climate resilience and adaptation as goals.

We also study how emerging optical materials interact with the broader environment, to uncover new functionalities, and to understand their environmental implications.
